Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (A Government of India Enterprise) has invites applications from bright, committed & energetic candidates for its North Eastern Region Transmission System Region covering the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland & Tripura for the following posts:-

1. Name of the Post : Diploma Trainee (Electrical) (26 Post)

Qualification: Full Time Regular 3 Years Diploma from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM. Higher technical qualification like B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E etc with or without Diploma is not allowed.

Discipline : Electrical/Electrical (Power)/Electrical and Electronics/Power Systems Engineering/Power Engineering (Electrical)

Maximum Age (As on 14.08.2021) with relevant relaxation :

27 years for UR/EWS
30 years for OBC(NCL)
32 years for SC/ST


2. Name of the Post : Diploma Trainee (Civil) (8 Post)

Qualification: Full Time Regular 3 Years Diploma from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM. Higher technical qualification like B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E etc with or without Diploma is not allowed.

Discipline : Civil Engineering

Maximum Age (As on 14.08.2021) with relevant relaxation :

27 years for UR/EWS
30 years for OBC(NCL)
32 years for SC/ST

3. Name of the Post : Diploma Trainee (Electronics) (2 Post)

Qualification: Full Time Regular 3 Years Diploma from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS/SC/ST/Ex-SM candidates and pass marks for PwD. Higher technical qualification like B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E etc with or without Diploma is not allowed.

Discipline : Electronics & Communication Engineering

Maximum Age (As on 14.08.2021) with relevant relaxation :

27 years for UR/EWS/ST/SC
30 years for OBC(NCL)

4. Name of the Post : Jr Officer Trainee (HR) (1 Post)

Qualification: Two years (Full time Course) Post Graduate Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/ MBA in Human Resource/ Personnel Management /Industrial Relation/ MSW or equivalent from recognized Institute with pass marks for ST/PwD Candidates and with minimum of 55% for Ex-SM.

.Maximum Age (As on 14.08.2021) with relevant relaxation : 32 years for ST

Selection Procedure

  1. Selection procedure shall be as per the details given below::

  2. Type of Written Test: Written Test shall be of Objective Type of 2(two) hours duration consisting of two parts –
    a) Part-I consists of Technical/Professional Knowledge Test with 120 questions having specific questions of respective discipline.
    b) Part-II consists of Aptitude Test with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative
    aptitude, reasoning ability, ability to determine data sufficiency, interpretation of graphs/charts/tables,
    numerical ability etc.
  3. All questions carry equal marks (1 mark). Wrong and multiple answers would result in negative marks
    of ¼
  4. The qualifying criteria in Written Test/ Computer Based Test:
    Vacancy Reservation Qualifying Criteria in Written Test
    Unreserved Vacancies Minimum of 40% marks subject to atleast 30% marks in each – Part-I & Part-II

    Reserved Vacancies Minimum of 30% marks subject to atleast 25% marks in each – Part-I & Part-II

  5. Candidates qualified in the Computer Based Test shall be short listed for Computer Skill Test (wherever
    applicable) in the prescribed ratio, subject to a minimum cut-off percentage of marks of 30% for reserved
    vacancies including PwD.
  6. Qualifying criteria in Computer Skill test:
    Computer Skill test will be qualifying in nature. Computer Skill Test (wherever applicable) will have qualifying marks as mentioned below:
